Tips For Talking With Your Doctor
Talking with Your Doctor
If you’re suffering from persistent, frequent constipation or on a bowel care program because of a disease or injury like a spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis or spina bifida, you need some answers and most of all, you need relief. That’s why it’s important to talk with your doctor about switching to Enemeez®. If you have been using a bisacodyl product and experiencing episodes of incontinence, prolonged toilet times, or persistent and frequent mucous discharge, then now is the time to have a serious discussion with your doctor or healthcare provider. You don’t have to live with these symptoms any longer.
Here are some tips for making the most of your healthcare appointment:
Complete and bring your daily bowel and diet chart along with a list of any complications to your doctor. A bowel and diet chart can be obtained by phoning the Enemeez® customer service department.
Be specific. Be as detailed as possible. Tell your doctor what symptoms you are currently experiencing, when these symptoms generally occur and possible factors triggering these occurrences, frequency of incontinence episodes, length of time to complete your current bowel program, and if you experience any prolonged discharge after completing your bowel care program. Additionally, it is important to express the negative impact constipation and an ineffective bowel care problem has on your daily life.
Bring a complete list of your current medications and any past drug side effects or allergic reactions. This assists your doctor in identifying any possible drug interactions that may be causing constipation or bowel care issues.
The Enemeez® customer service coordinators are available to speak with you or your healthcare provider about the proper usage of the Enemeez® product line. Please phone us at (888) 273-9734 extension 208.
