Located in Rhode Island, Sail To Prevail creates opportunities for disabled children and adults to overcome adversity through therapeutic sailing. Each year, Sail To Prevail teaches approximately 1,000 people with disabilities the skills of sailing in their specially adapted sailboats. The programs encourage disabled individuals to be active participants by having them steer the boat and trim the sails.
