Frequently Asked Questions

Try Enemeez® enema for constipation relief for adults, and Docusol® constipation relief for children. Our product lines are setting the standards for bowel care.

This can vary from person to person. Some individuals will experience immediate results, whereas others may go through an acclimation period for the body to adjust to a different process. This can range anywhere from 3-10 bowel care sessions.
With consistent use of Enemeez®, you should be spending less time doing your bowel program. Most will experience an evacuation in 15 minutes or less.
The Enemeez® formulation is one of the least invasive bowel care products on the market. It does not irritate the mucosal lining to provide an evacuation. Instead, it draws water from surrounding tissues, incorporates the water into the stool, softening the stool, initiating a replicated “natural” evacuation.
Enemeez® will not produce a mucosal discharge. The active ingredient found in the Enemeez® product is docusate sodium. Docusate sodium is a stool softener, not an irritant. Many consumers experience mucosal discharge from the ingredients found in other suppositories or laxative products. Patients will not experience this reaction when using the Enemeez® product.
Digital stimulation is still required by many patients, although many report a reduction in the amount of time.
When beginning the use of Enemeez®, you may go through an acclimation period to re-adjust your body to a more “Natural” process. If after 15-20 minutes you have not experienced an evacuation, try digital stimulation to see if you can help bring the stool down. If still no evacuation, insert a second Enemeez® mini enema. This process can be completed up to three times during a bowel care session or per day.
The only difference is the addition of 20mg of Benzocaine to Enemeez® Plus, which helps relieve symptoms of Autonomic Dysreflexia or pain, while producing a bowel movement.
