Summer is here, and it’s a great time to plan for an amazing getaway! While people with disabilities are able to travel just about anywhere in the world, the travel and hospitality industries are increasingly aware of the specific needs of disabled travelers, opening up more and more destination options for disabled adults, known collectively as “Accessible tourism.”

Family caregivers play a vital role in the overall health, wellness, and independence of those living with disabilities. Whether a family member or friend, the love and dedication family caregivers provide is essential to helping those within their care live a happier, more fulfilling life.

October 2022 is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), which is led by the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. The real spirit of NDEAM is found in the ways we honor and participate in securing employment opportunities for people with disabilities across the United States. The theme for 2022 is "Disability: Part of the Equity Equation."

September is National SCI Awareness Month. According to the National Spinal Cord Injury Statistical Center, approximately 18,000 Americans get spinal cord injuries each year.
